Visa guidance for Malaysia passport holders

You can apply online

Patients from Malaysia can apply for the India e-Medical Visa online.

The e-Medical Visa is applied for on the Government of India e-Visa portal, with no visit to an Indian mission required. It is valid for 365 days from the date of arrival in India and allows multiple entries. The application will not proceed without a letter from the treating hospital in India stating the date or tentative date of admission, so the hospital should be chosen and the admission date agreed before applying. Up to two accompanying family members can apply for the e-Medical Attendant Visa against a single e-Medical Visa, on the same validity. Fees vary by nationality and a bank transaction charge applies.

Checked against the Government of India e-Visa portal on 22 September 2026. View the official page. Visa rules change, so confirm before you book travel.
